I've found myself using a particular Views technique a lot recently and so decided to post my first Drupal tutorial about it.

Improving menu editing in Drupal
I had an epiphany! (sort of)
I thought of a new way to add items to menus in Drupal, but since it would require AJAX and since I've never coded a module before (let alone coded AJAX), I thought I'd post my thoughts here for someone else to steal.
My idea was to create a Drupal module that enabled a user with the right permissions to be able to click-and-drag any page heading on the site into a menu and have that page automatically be added as a link in that menu...! Read more »
Transformers 2
I went to see Transformers 2 last night - great movie!
Most movies these days have good special effects, it's practically a given. But it's not often a movie can be described as having good sound effects... The two Transformers movies can be described as such. I don't know what it is that makes the sound effects sound so much better than a typical action movie, but I like it :) Read more »
Movies and Trailers
Since I'm on a roll, I thought I'd start two new categories in my Ponderings blog: Movies and Trailers.
'Movie' posts will be about movies I've recently seen (though don't expect them to be full-fledged reviews), while 'trailer' posts will be about new movie trailers I've just downloaded. Read more »
New House
Ok, so it's been a while since my last post... But can you blame me? We just moved house!
For as long as I can remember (since I was about 2), we've lived in Sandy Beach. We'd been thinking about moving for a while, and at one stage actually put our house up on the market. Since we couldn't get the price we wanted, we decided to stay. Read more »
New Zealand - Part 5
WOW!
Ok, I'll explain from the beginning...
We went down to the main part of Queenstown where we boarded a bus which took us out to the Shotover River. There we rode the Shotover Jet through very narrow cliffs in very shallow water at very high speeds. That was quite thrilling!
We then got the bus up to the helicopter which took us up to the Skyline complex overlooking Queenstown. The helicopter ride was great, though a bit squishy - another first for us! Read more »
New Zealand - Part 4
So much we've done, so little time to tell you about it...
The trip from Lake Tekapo to Te Anau was long, but scenic. We stayed overnight in Te Anau, then drove up to Milford Sound the next day. We took a nice long cruise up the sound/fiord all the way out to the Tasman Sea and back again (apparently the closest part of NZ to Australia). Read more »
New Zealand - Part 3
Can things get any better?! The things I've seen the last two days have been amazing! Read more »
New Zealand - Part 2
It's been a busy two days since my last post, here's why...
Yesterday, we explored the town/city of Christchurch. It was very cold, but beautiful! We went down to the river, took lots of photos and had lunch at Subway :) We looked around the Christchurch Cathedral, used an ATM to take out some NZ money, then went to Woolworths to stock up on food and Easter eggs.
