Boambee Creek

Boambee Creek Panorama

Today we had lunch down at Boambee Creek with Steve & Meg and their family. The day started off overcast but turned out really nice and warm. I decided to take my camera as I thought I'd go for a walk up to the headland and try for some panoramas using my camera's 'manual' mode (for the first time).

After a nice picnic lunch/barbeque, the kids went down to the water to play while the adults looked on with their coffees. I ventured down to the water to take a few shots of the kids, then started off on my walk up to the headland accompanied by Bobby.

It's a beautiful walk around the headland, especially with the weather as it was. Bobby turned back once we got out to the end of the headland but I continued on around to the steps leading down to Sawtell Beach. After taking a few shots looking south towards Sawtell, I walked back via the main lookout up the top.

On the way home we had to do some grocery shopping, so I used that opportunity to pick up some cheap DVDs from Sanity: Chariots of Fire (love the music), An Affair to Remember (beautiful story from what I can recall) and The Sound of Music (a childhood favourite).

All in all I had a really nice day today and got some good shots of the beautiful Coffs Coast. Check out my Photos page to see some of the nice landscapes and panoramas I captured.
