Can things get any better?! The things I've seen the last two days have been amazing!

I was the only one to get up early on Saturday for the sunrise. I decided to stay on the balcony for it, but still it was great - got lots of good photos. We then headed out to Mt. Cook. It's a really nice place out in the middle of nowhere (seemingly) but houses the two highest mountains in NZ. Apart from the photos we snapped, we visited the gift shop, had a nice lunch, then drove out to the Tasman valley to hike up to a lookout looking over the Tasman glacier. It was a huge, tiring walk, but with a big payoff. On the way back to our resort we got some more photos from, believe it or not, Peter's lookout.

This morning Stephen, Becky and I all got up and walked down to the Church of the Good Shepherd for the sunrise. Once again it was amazing! We all went for a walk just before lunch to join the crowds that had gathered for Easter Sunday. We hired some bikes and rode around some of the tracks along the lake. Lunch on the lakeside was busy but nice, and a walk back along the water finished off a mostly-relaxing day.

Tomorrow we head off on a 400km trip south to Lake Te Anau, so it's off to bed again. Goodnight!
